What is inside
The short version
Last Grade Servants is one of the most popular entry posts in Kerala government service, and the number of people who sit its test is large. This five-page file is described as a detailed syllabus, so it goes beyond a one-line list of subjects and breaks the paper into smaller areas. It was listed in January 2020. It holds no questions or answers.
Reading the detailed format
A detailed syllabus is more useful than a summary because it shows the grain of the paper. Instead of seeing only a subject name, you see the sub-topics that sit under it. That is the level at which you can match your reading to the exam: a chapter either fits one of the lines or it does not. Five pages is long enough to carry that detail and short enough to memorise the structure.
Who benefits
- Beginners who have never prepared for a commission test.
- Working candidates with only an hour or two a day, who must be selective.
- Repeat aspirants who want to audit what they skipped last time.
- Mentors building a weekly timetable for a group.
Turning detail into a schedule
Start by counting the headings, then divide your available weeks by that number. Allow extra time for the areas where you feel weak, and leave the last two weeks for mixed revision. Inside each block, work in this order, as in the table below.
| Phase | Activity |
|---|---|
| Learn | Read the notes for one sub-topic |
| Recall | Close the notes and write what you remember |
| Test | Answer a short set of model questions |
| Review | Revisit mistakes after a week |
Alongside other resources
The file works best as the first document you open, not the last. After it, pick up past papers to see how questions are phrased, and model question banks to drill facts. Because the same commission also runs clerical and tenth level tests, many general areas overlap, so one revision cycle can serve several exams.
As with any older syllabus, confirm the scheme in the current official notification before the examination date.
Printed help
For desk-friendly study, printed state-exam notes and practice sets in the store follow the same topic-wise approach and let you annotate beside each syllabus line.
